Let’s Add the Finishing
Touches to Your Quilt

No more crawling on the floor to pin your quilt sandwich together! I use an APQS longarm machine to layer your backing, batting and quilt top into a single layer unit. We’ll choose a complementary thread and stitch pattern to hold it all together, creating a durable and beautifully finished product.

Meet Jane!

After 60 years of sewing for myself, my family and close friends, I launched a new dream of opening my own longarm quilting business. With the help of family, friends and a few handy folk, JQuilts became a reality in 2020! Since opening my business, I have quilted more than 250 quilts. The collaboration with the customer is my favorite part of the process. Quilting fills my bucket, whether it is your quilt or my own. Thanks for dropping in. I hope to see you soon!

P.S. Other important info about me is: I adore Aztec Mocha coffee from our local Aromatic Roasters cafe; Sunday Morning is the only thing I watch religiously on t.v.; I am in two book clubs and prefer to listen rather than read; I only enjoy cooking for special occasions,; Teal and all colors between blue and green are my favorite colors; I love a good pun, short jokes, talking to strangers, and playing with fabric.

Exceptional Craftmanship, Loving Care

You may be wondering why you would want to hire someone else to finish your quilt. You have already put a lot of time and money into your quilt. Your grandmother, her mother and yours did their own quilting, so you want follow their footsteps. I get that.

On the other hand…
1. I can save you time. Go ahead and start something new. It’s ok.
2. I can save you the discomfort of crawling (ouch) on the floor to pin baste (more ouch) and the shoulder aches of stitching in the ditch on a sewing machine with a small harp. It’s a bit like wrestling a wiggling toddler while changing their diaper.
3. I can offer you many different designs to complement your quilt top. You can choose one; we can choose a pattern together; or I can choose one for you, based non your priorities(snuggly or long lasting), and the personality of your quilt.
